On Friday, December 6, 2024, St George CDA will host a St. Nicholas Day Event for kids! Parents are welcome to bring their children for fun and games while enjoying a date night, getting some shopping done, running an errand or two, or maybe just relaxing at home while we feed, entertain and have lots of fun celebrating this special saint with the kiddos! The purpose of this event is to teach children about this wonderful Saint, why he is a saint and the treasure of giving in secret! We also want to educate parents on the power of praying for their children by providing a St. Nicholas, patron of children, prayer card at pick up.
We will promote the event with Save the Date slips with QR codes to encourage parents to pre-register so we can get an idea of the number to expect.

We ask that all children be picked up by 9:00pm. Feel free to bring and/or drop your children off at any time during the evening. They are welcome any time. We wish to provide you with some kid-free time to use as you wish.
We have emailed those who indicated food allergies during registration, but if you have any concerns with anything listed above, please reply to this email and we will do our best to accommodate any specific needs or concerns you may have.
All children will go home with a treat bag (from St. Nicholas), a special Saint Nicholas cookie, and a prayer card. Please take time to encourage them to ask God for St. Nicholas’ intercession in their prayers as he is the patron saint of children.
Parents will be sent home with prayer cards as well. We encourage you to pray for your children and ask for St. Nicholas’ intercession. Praying for our children is especially important and very powerful!
We hope your little ones enjoy their time with us and learn about the joy of giving in secret and that our true gift this time of year is Jesus!
